Portfolio Blog

3 04 2012

It’s been quite some time since I’ve posted anything here, but I recently finished the specifications for a file format and parser I wrote, and I needed somewhere to put it.  After some consideration, I’ve decided to start using this blog again as a combination dev-log and portfolio.  The blog-post portion of the site will serve as a dev-log when I have the time to update it on my current projects.  The other pages will serve as a portfolio, a sort of listing of my various projects along with descriptions and links to the relevant sources, binaries, and documentation.

For the time being, all I’ve really changed is the about page, and all I’ve added is a small page for the new file format, SOML (simple object markup language), and the two parsers I wrote for  it (one in Python, the other in C#).  I’m likely to start work on a tool for managing Shadowrun characters and campaigns soon, as well as perhaps returning to the C# version of Tower of Azari, if time permits.  I’m nearing the end of a semester right now though, so I’m not yet certain how much time I’ll have to work on personal projects over the coming weeks.  Hopefully, if I don’t have time before finals, I’ll be able to get a lot of work done over the summer.

For now, however, feel free to browse, I’ve tried to clean up some of the other project pages, and I’m getting rather excited about building a portfolio finally; I had forgotten how much I already had to work with!
